It’s our promise that we will always speak with you, face-to-face, and create a personalized plan to meet your needs prior to your service. Our practitioners are friendly, honest and dedicated to working with you to provide you with an exceptional experience.

We are happy to take walk-ins when space is available. As always, we will do all we can to accommodate our guests. However, reservations are very strongly recommended as service availability books up quickly day to day. Please use our online scheduling option for quick and convenient booking or give us a call at (734) 213-7455.

Please Be Prompt

Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled service. Make note of whether your appointment is at our Miller Avenue or First Street location. Both locations are housed in the same building (The McKinley Tech Centre) but have separate entrances. If you are late, we can provide an extension of your scheduled service time only if time is permitting. You will be responsible for the full service fee. Your Choice of Music

If you would like to listen to your own choice of music during your spa services we can make that happen!  Please let us know if you would like to personalize your listening experience. We do ask that you refrain from listening to music with explicit content.

Gratuities and Tipping

In appreciation for exceptional service, gratuities may be given at your discretion. A 15% to 20% gratuity is customary. We accept tips via cash and credit card.

Children at Vis-a-Vis

For the convenience of staff and other customers, children are not permitted in waiting areas and treatments rooms unsupervised. However, we are happy to provide spa services to children with written parental permission.

Cell Phones

Please keep your cell phones and pagers on silent while in the spa.

Keep Your Valuables with You

We regret that we cannot be responsible for loss or damage of personal articles. Please keep all valuables with you during your appointments. 

Special & Medical Considerations

Please advise the Spa Manager or a staff member if you:

  • Are pregnant
  • Have allergies or sensitivities we should be aware of
  • Have high blood pressure or a heart condition
  • Are taking any medication
  • Have muscle or joint injuries
  • Have any injury
  • Have had recent surgery including laser or plastic surgery
  • Are using Retin-A, Accutane or any photosensitizing or keratolytic medication.
  • Any of the above conditions may affect our ability to perform your requested treatment or service. Please be aware that if you are pregnant, have high blood pressure, or a heart condition services that involve the application of heat are not advised.

Cancellation Policy

It is extremely important that we provide an environment that supports both our guests and our beloved team at Vis-a-Vis. Our team is what keeps Vis-a-Vis afloat; we couldn’t do it without them. Our cancellation policy reflects our appreciation of their time, effort, and professionalism. We understand that there are extenuating circumstances and you cannot always cancel an appointment on time. We would never penalize a guest for failing to cancel an appointment because of some kind of emergency, and we’ve created a policy that takes that into account.

Although some of the products we sell at Vis-a-Vis (including products within our V2 line) are absolutely 100% natural, we classify our inventory as “naturally-based”. This means that whenever possible, we use ingredients as close to the form in which they are found in nature as possible, without sacrificing safety or performance. We think that transparency is important, and although a product that’s “100% Organic” may sound amazing, products that are completely natural often do not have a good shelf life. We require all products sold at Vis-a-Vis uphold our very high standards for safety and performance. We guarantee our naturally-based products will not only last, they will also maintain their safety and ability to provide results! 


When you know exactly what you want, sometimes it’s best to just do it yourself! That’s exactly what we did with our V2 product line. Made right here in Ann Arbor, we began work on the V2 line soon after the spa opened. V2 products are available for purchase in the spa and on our lovely website! With our skincare line, we strive to be as environmentally conscious as possible. We source many of our ingredients from local distributors, we never test our products on animals, and we’re working toward a green approach to packaging! When selecting packaging for our products, we choose containers that have been overproduced so they don’t go to waste. This means that over time the packaging of your favorite V2 products is subject to change… Think of this as a mini makeover in the name of Mother Earth. Don’t worry, we’ll never change the formulation of a product without alerting you!


Any organization we’ve donated to knows how much love and attention we put into all of our donations. But charity isn’t just our passion, we believe it’s our responsibility! Giving back to the community that has given us so much makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside. We adore Ann Arbor, and feel incredibly lucky to be here.
